Ion mobility spectrometry and ion mobility spectrometry/mass spectrometric characterization of dimenhydrinate

Biological Mass Spectrometry, 1988
Positive and negative ion mobility spectra of dimenhydrinate are presented, and the calculated reduced mobility (K0) values for the most significant peaks are reported. Mass identification of the ionic species associated with the peaks in the ion mobility spectra was achieved by interfacing the ion mobility spectrometer to a mass spectrometer.

Developments in ion mobility spectrometry–mass spectrometry

Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, 2001
Ion mobility spectrometry (IMS) has been used for over 30 years as a sensitive detector of organic compounds. The following is a brief review of IMS and its principles with an emphasis on its usage when coupled to mass spectrometry. Since its inception, IMS has been interfaced with quadrupole, time-of-flight, and Fourier-transform ion cyclotron ...

Ion mobility spectrometry and ion mobility-mass spectrometry in clinical chemistry

Advancements in clinical chemistry have major implications in terms of public health, prompting many clinicians to seek out chemical information to aid in diagnoses and treatments. While mass spectrometry (MS) and hyphenated-MS techniques such as LC-MS or tandem MS/MS have long been the analytical methods of choice for many clinical applications, these

Analyzing Positive Reactant Ions in High Kinetic Energy Ion Mobility Spectrometry (HiKE-IMS) by HiKE-IMS-MS.

Journal of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry, 2020
In contrast to classical ion mobility spectrometers (IMS) operating at ambient pressure, the high kinetic energy ion mobility spectrometer (HiKE-IMS) is operated at reduced pressures between 10-40 mbar.
