Vibrational spectra of cyclopropenium ions
Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular Spectroscopy, 1974Abstract The i.r. spectra of trimethylcyclopropenium hexachloroantimonate and its deutero analog have been measured from 4000 cm −1 to 100 cm −1 . The Raman spectrum of the fluoroborate has been obtained in the Solid state. Normal coordinate analyses have been carried out on the C 3υ model of trimethylcyclopropenium ion and the D 3 h model of

The spectra of multicharged ions are of special interest to many modern fields of research, such as X-ray space astronomy and astrophysics, controlled thermonuclear fusion, extreme ultraviolet and soft X-ray lasers. Different methods of creating high-temperature laboratory plasmas, low-inductance sparks and other discharges, tokomak and laser-produced ...

Electronic Spectra of Radical Ions
Applied Spectroscopy Reviews, 1970Abstract Organic molecules may accept an extra electron to form radical anions, R+, or give up an electron by ionization to form radical cations, R+. Some of the radical ions are relatively stable in their ground states in solution phase and can be readily characterized by spectroscopic methods.

Proton and ion beams accelerated indirectly by laser pulses exhibit very special attributes, determined by the acceleration mechanism and the target geometry. In the following chapter the characteristics of the proton and ion spectra will be discussed for different target types and laser parameters.

The absorption spectra of Cu+ and Cu2+ in KC1 solid solution were investigated. Cu+ has two absorption bands in the uv region peaking at ∼210 and 270–272 mμ. Cμ2+ gives a broad absorption band peaking at 255–257 mμ. The broadening of the band and the undefined position of its peak is partly due to the decomposition of a fraction of Cu(ii)Cl2 to Cu(i)Cl

Ions Classification in Peptide Tandem Mass Spectra
2008 Fifth International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery, 2008In computational proteomics, inferring the peptide sequence from its MS/MS data is an important issue and many algorithms have been proposed. Ions classification aiming at determining the type of ions provides a basis for most of the existing algorithms. However, no report on ions classification methods have been found to our knowledge.

The spectra of rare ions in crystals
1962The properties of spherical tensor operators are discussed, with particular reference to selection rules for their matrices in configurations. With complete spin-orbit matrices calculated using these properties, full intermediate coupling calculations of the energy levels of the f4 and f10 configurations have been carried out.
