Abstract Longitudinal dopant distribution along ion tracks in soft (polymers [1–5]) and hard (diamond [6,7]) condensed carbonaceous matter have been studied by neutron depth profiling and cathodoluminesence. Both in-diffusion from the aqueous phase and energetic ion implantation were used in primary track doping.

Calculations of heavy-ion track structure
Radiation and Environmental Biophysics, 1994A Monte Carlo model is presented to study details of the energy deposition inside tracks of heavy charged particles in water vapor. The input data for most of the calculations based on the binary encounter approximation are double-differential cross sections for electron emission after heavy-ion impact.

Microdosimetric measurements of heavy ion tracks
Advances in Space Research, 1992The biological effectiveness of radiations depends on the spatial pattern of ionizations and excitations produced by the charged particle tracks involved. Ionizations produced by both the primary ion and by energetic delta rays may contribute to the production of biologically relevant damage and to the concentration of damage which may effect the ...
