Impact ionization in β-Ga2O3

Journal of Applied Physics, 2018
A theoretical investigation of extremely high field transport in an emerging wide-bandgap material β-Ga2O3 is reported from first principles. The signature high-field effect explored here is impact ionization.

Ionized calcium

Clinica Chimica Acta, 2011
Calcium is the most abundant mineral in the human body. While most of the body's calcium is sequestered in the skeleton, the free, hydrated cation in solution is a key physiologic mediator in a host of metabolic and regulatory processes. The free cation concentration in the extracellular fluid, historically referred to as "ionized calcium" in clinical ...

Triboelectric spray ionization

Journal of Mass Spectrometry, 2013
Triboelectric spray ionization (TESI) is a variation of electrospray ionization (ESI) using common instrumental components, including gas flow, solvent flow rate and heat, the only difference being the use of a high‐voltage power supply for ESI or a static charge for TESI.

Above threshold ionization beyond the high harmonic cutoff.

Physical Review Letters, 1993
Over the last few years, strong-field physics has advanced to a state that quantitative tests of theoretical models are now possible experimentally[1-3].

Flame ionization detectors

Journal of Chromatography A, 1963
Abstract Methods are described for improving the performance of the amplifiers associated with the diode and triode flame ionization detectors. The effect of these amplifiers on linearity, time constant and drift rate is discussed together with the theoretical and practical limitations of detection.

[Ionization].

Bulletin de l'Academie nationale de medecine, 1993
Having demonstrated the wholesomeness of irradiated food, then scientists had to prove that nutritional impact of food irradiation was minor. Animal testing, vitamin and amino acid measurements in irradiated food, and no longer in solutions, have demonstrated that recorded changes, at commercial doses i.e. 1 to 10 kGy did not present any hazard.
