Development of a Novel Processing Route for Dispersoid/Precipitation‐Strengthened High Conductive Copper Alloys by Using Metalized Nanoceramics in Additive Manufacturing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study explores a process chain to produce dispersoid‐strengthened CuCr1Zr for applications requiring high strength and conductivity. Using gas‐atomized powder and copper‐plated alumina nanoparticles, additive manufacturing is performed via powder bed based additive manufacturing with green and red lasers, followed by heat treatment.

Spectroscopic detection of CIV in a galaxy at z=7.045: Implications for the ionizing spectra of reionization-era galaxies

open access: yes, 2015
We present Keck/MOSFIRE observations of UV metal lines in four bright gravitationally-lensed z~6-8 galaxies behind the cluster Abell 1703. The spectrum of A1703-zd6, a highly-magnified star forming galaxy with a Lyman-alpha redshift of z=7.045, reveals a

Production of TiNi/Ti2AlN Multilayer Films with Different Numbers of Layers and Evolution of Tribological and Adhesion Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 7, April 2025.
TiNi/Ti2AlN MAX phase films with different layer numbers are synthesized using a closed‐field unbalanced magnetron sputtering system. Their structural, mechanical, and tribological properties, as well as adhesion and fatigue performance, are analyzed as a function of the layer count to understand the effects of multilayer architecture on overall ...
