Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Ion Parking during Ion/Ion Reactions in Electrodynamic Ion Traps
Analytical Chemistry, 2001Under appropriate ion density conditions, it is possible to selectively inhibit rates of ion/ion reactions in a quadrupole ion trap via the application of oscillatory voltages to one or more electrodes of the ion trap. The phenomenon is demonstrated using dipolar resonance excitation applied to the end-cap electrodes of a three-dimensional quadrupole ...

Fast inelastic ion-ion, ion-electron, and ion-positron collisions
Physical Review A, 1993We present scaling relations for the total cross sections and collision strengths of bound-state excitation in positive ions. The colliding particle can be positively or negatively charged and can be a fully ionized atom, an electron, or a positron.
