Sweet Potato: Ipomoea batatas

2015
Distribution, economic importance, symptoms/damage, host range, biology, survival and spread, and management of insect and mite pests and fungal, bacterial, viral and nematode diseases of sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas) using regulatory, physical, cultural, chemical, biological, host resistance, and integrated pest management methods are discussed.

Control de malezas en batata [Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam.]

The Journal of Agriculture of the University of Puerto Rico, 2007

Biochemical characterization of isoprene synthase from Ipomoea batatas

Journal of Bioscience and Bioengineering, 2019
The bio-production process of isoprene, an essential chemical used in industry, is strongly limited by isoprene synthase. In our previous work, relatively high isoprene production was observed with isoprene synthase from Ipomoea batatas (IspSib).

Peroxidase from Ipomoea batatas seedlings: Purification and properties

Phytochemistry, 1984
Abstract A peroxidase has been purified to homogeneity from Ipomoea batatas seedlings using ammonium sulphate precipitation and chromatography on DEAE-cellulose and SP-Sephadex columns. The pH optimum of the enzyme was found to be dependent on the buffer and substrate used. The isoelectric point is 7.3.

Toxicity of Mould-damaged Sweet Potatoes (Ipomoea batatas)

Nature, 1970
THE toxicity for livestock of mouldy sweet potatoes has been recognized for several decades in the United States1 and, especially, Japan2. The few reports available describing toxic manifestations mention pulmonary oedema, emphysema and adenomatosis as characteristic disease signs in cattle involved in natural outbreaks3–5.

Regeneration in Leaf Cuttings of Ipomoea Batatas

Botanical Gazette, 1931
1. Six different types of sweet potato leaf cuttings were rooted and observed until plants were regenerated. A seventh type was discarded after roots regenerated but before shoots were formed. 2. All types of cuttings regenerated roots quickly. 3.
