Challenges in managing ipsilateral femoral neck and shaft fracture at Mission Hospital
Rarity of ipsilateral femoral neck and shaft fracture qualifies it as a difficult fracture to diagnose as well as treat. No ideal treatment option has been defined, and no ideal implant has been assigned for the management of such fractures.

Prepontine non-giant neurons drive flexible escape behavior in zebrafish [PDF]
Many species execute ballistic escape reactions to avoid imminent danger. Despite fast reaction times, responses are often highly regulated, reflecting a trade-off between costly motor actions and perceived threat level.

A post‐stroke perivascular niche of microglia characterized by low expression of M2 markers and elevated glycolysis, oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS), and phagocytic activity is identified, which is termed stroke‐activated vascular‐associated microglia (stroke‐VAM).

Four collateral circulation pathways were observed after common carotid artery occlusion
Background Common carotid artery (CCA) occlusion (CCAO) is a rare condition. Owing to collateral circulation, ipsilateral internal carotid artery (ICA) and external carotid artery (ECA) are often patent.

The spino-bulbar-cerebellar pathway: organization and neurochemical properties of spinal cells that project to the lateral reticular nucleus in the rat [PDF]
In addition to classical spinocerebellar pathways, the cerebellum receives information from the spinal cord indirectly via spino-bulbar-cerebellar systems. One of the structures in this pathway is the lateral reticular nucleus (LRt).

Ipsilateral Maxillo-Mandibular Ossifying Fibroma [PDF]
Ossifying fibroma is a benign fibro-osseous lesion which occurs at various locations in maxillofacial region. A synchronous presentation of this lesion in both, the maxilla and the mandible is a rare occurrence. The present article reports a case of ossifying fibroma in a 45-year-old woman who manifested lesions in the right maxilla and mandible.

Stroke‐induced lactate accumulation promotes p300‐mediated lactylation of methyl‐CpG binding protein 2 (MeCP2) at lysine 210, which reprograms microglial metabolism toward glycolysis and activates the hexokinase 2 (HK2)/mTOR axis. This cascade promotes proinflammatory responses and impairs neurofunctional outcomes.

A schematic diagram of the mechanism where small extracellular vesicles mediate the enhancement of heterotopic wound healing by radial extracorporeal shockwave stimulation at a proximal tibial osteotomy site. ABSTRACT Wound healing represents a complex biological process necessitating innovative therapeutic approaches, particularly for chronic wounds ...
