Proceedings of the 10th ACM Workshop on Hot Topics in Networks, 2011
The era of free IPv4 address allocations has ended and the grey market in IPv4 addresses is now emerging. This paper argues that one cannot and should not try to regulate who sells addresses and at what price, but one does need to provide some proof of ownership in the form of resource certification.

Proceedings of the International Conference & Workshop on Emerging Trends in Technology - ICWET '11, 2011
The concept of transiting from IPv4 network to IPv6 network is being processed vigorously. Extensive study is being done presently on this subject as transition from IPv4 to IPv6 requires a high level compatibility and clear procedure for easy and independent deployment of IPv6.

IPv4 to IPv6 Migration and Performance Analysis using GNS3 and Wireshark
2019 International Conference on Vision Towards Emerging Trends in Communication and Networking (ViTECoN), 2019The internet is a system of various interconnected networks accessible worldwide. IPv4, a layer 3 protocol enables two or more computers to share the data among them. At the beginning of 2011, all the IPv4 address space was exhausted and now we are going

A Comparative Study on IPv4 and IPv6 [PDF]
According to United Nations survey the world population is likely to reach 7 billion by 2050 and around 70% of them will be living in cities sine around 50,000 people across the globe move from rural areas to urban areas every day. At the present trend of ICT penetration rate by 2020 more than 50 billion devices will be connected to web, hence IPv4 ...

IPv4 and IPv6 Protocols: A Comparative Performance Study
Control and System Graduate Research Colloquium, 2019The advancement in wireless technologies has allowed devices to access the internet from virtually anywhere around the globe. However, the demand for reliable communication through voice and video streaming is significantly high.

Performance evaluation of IPv4/IPv6 transition mechanisms: IPv4-in-IPv6 tunneling techniques
The International Conference on Information Networking 2014 (ICOIN2014), 2014Exhaustion of IPv4 address space is highly aware for most internet players, not only Internet Service Providers (ISPs), but also Telco and Content Providers. A number of IPv4/IPv6 migration/transition tools and mechanisms have been proposed, deployed/implemented world-wide.

Requirements for IPv6 Customer Edge Routers to Support IPv4-as-a-Service
Request for Comments, 2019This document specifies the IPv4 service continuity requirements for an IPv6 Customer Edge (CE) router, either provided by the service provider or by vendors who sell through the retail market.

Methods for IPv4-IPv6 transition
Proceedings IEEE International Symposium on Computers and Communications (Cat. No.PR00250), 2003The future Internet networks are expected to use IPv6 version rather than the IPv4 one. This is mainly due to the limitations of IPv4 in terms of addresses, routing and security QoS issues developed by the Internet community are also tailored for both versions and will be easily deployed in both sides.

Comparison Between IPv4 and IPv6 using OSPF and OSPFv3 on Riverbed Modeler
International Workshop on Ant Colony Optimization and Swarm Intelligence, 2019In multiple path networks, the routing protocols are used to find the low-cost shortest path and the protocols which give its best measurements are selected for network execution. The IP addresses play a vital role in the working of the internet but IPv4

IPv4 Traversal for the NEMO Basic Support Protocol by IPv4 Care-of Address Registration
IEICE Transactions on Communications, 2005On the Internet, two different IP protocols are deployed such as IPv4 [7] and IPv6 [1]. The Mobile Router uses the basic NEMO protocol [2] which is IPv6 protocol specific. During the early period of time that IPv6 transition is occurring it is very likely that a Mobile Router will move to an IPv4 only access network.
