Distinct Solvent Effects on Dispersibility and Photoinduced Hydrogen Release of Hydrogen Boride Sheets

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Hydrogen boride (HB) sheets exhibit strongly solvent‐dependent dispersion and photoinduced hydrogen release. HB‐sheet dispersibility depends on solvent‐dependent interactions, whereas hydrogen release is more strongly associated with the hydrogen‐bonding character of the solvent.

Anomalous Sub‐Band Gap Emission at Room Temperature in Mixed‐Dimensional WS2/Cu2O Heterostructures

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Monolayer WS2 on Cu2O produces a room‐temperature sub‐bandgap emission from the hybrid interface. Spectroscopy and electrical bias measurements indicate that this emission arises primarily from WS2‐modified Cu2O defect states rather than interlayer excitons.

Laser‐Synthesized Carbon‐Coated Elemental Bismuth Nanoparticles for Sustained Reactive Oxygen Species Generation Under Visible‐Light Irradiation

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Femtosecond laser ablation of bismuth in acetone yields carbon‐coated nanoparticles with a metallic Bi0 core and an amorphous carbon shell. The core‐shell architecture preserves visible‐light‐driven redox activity and enables sustained hydroxyl‐radical generation.

Photoactivated iridium(III) complexes drive pyroptosis–necroptosis synergy for multi‐network photoimmunotherapy of renal cell carcinoma

open access: yesSmart Molecules, EarlyView.
Photoactivated iridium(III) complexes trigger mitochondrial DNA leakage and Ca²⁺ efflux, simultaneously driving pyroptosis and necroptosis to synergistically enhance immunogenic cell death. This multi‐network cascade promotes dendritic cell maturation and CD8⁺ T cell activation, achieving potent photoimmunotherapy of renal cell carcinoma.

Vibrational spectra and molecular dynamics of hydrogen peroxide molecules at quartz/water interfaces

open access: yesJournal of Molecular Structure, 2016
The influence of H2O2 on the water vibration at quartz interface was examined using sum-frequency generation (SFG) spectroscopy, and the effect of H2O2 concentration has been systematically studied. Further, the number density and radical distribution of

Polarized IR spectra of synthetic smoky quartz

Physics and Chemistry of Minerals, 1991
Polarized IR spectra of planeparallel (0001) plates of synthetic smoky quartz, with E rotating around [0001], show that the absorption figures of OH− related absorption bands at 3380 (room temperature), 3365 and 3305 cm−1 (liquid nitrogen temperature, -196° C) are strongly anisotropic and violate the trigonal symmetry of low quartz.

Effect of neutron irradiation on the high-frequency IR spectra of quartz glass

Inorganic Materials, 2008
We have studied the effect of neutron irradiation in a nuclear reactor on the high-frequency IR absorption spectra of quartz glasses. Three groups of bands were identified in the range 1400–2300 cm−1 (at 1610, 1910, and 2270 cm−1), and one group, in the range 2870–2970 cm−1.
