A multicolor fluorescence imaging device was recently developed for image-guided surgery. However, conventional systems are typically bulky and function with two cameras.

Detection of Glycine as a Model Protein in Blood Serum Using 2D-IR Spectroscopy.
Glycine (Gly) is used as a model system to evaluate the ability of ultrafast two-dimensional infrared (2D-IR) spectroscopy to detect and quantify the low-molecular-weight proteinaceous components of blood serum.

W-realization of Lie algebras: application to so(4,2) and Poincare algebras
The property of some finite W-algebras to appear as the commutant of a particular subalgebra in a simple Lie algebra G is exploited for the obtention of new G-realizations from a "canonical" differential one.

Determination of ADP/ATP translocase isoform ratios in malignancy and cellular senescence
The individual functions of three isoforms exchanging ADP and ATP (ADP/ATP translocases; ANTs) on the mitochondrial membrane remain unclear. We developed a method for quantitatively differentiating highly similar human ANT1, ANT2, and ANT3 using parallel reaction monitoring. This method allowed us to assess changes in translocase levels during cellular

Solution of the Dyson--Schwinger equation on de Sitter background in IR limit
We propose an ansatz which solves the Dyson-Schwinger equation for the real scalar fields in Poincare patch of de Sitter space in the IR limit. The Dyson-Schwinger equation for this ansatz reduces to the kinetic equation, if one considers scalar fields ...

TRPM8 levels determine tumor vulnerability to channel agonists
TRPM8 is a Ca2+ permissive channel. Regardless of the amount of its transcript, high levels of TRPM8 protein mark different tumors, including prostate, breast, colorectal, and lung carcinomas. Targeting TRPM8 with channel agonists stimulates inward calcium currents followed by emptying of cytosolic Ca2+ stores in cancer cells.

This study identifies nuclear YB‐1 S102 phosphorylation as a marker associated with KRAS and FBXW7 mutations in colorectal cancer. Mutated KRAS correlates specifically with nuclear, not cytoplasmic, S102 YB‐1. These findings provide the first ex vivo evidence of this link in CRC and suggest future studies should assess the prognostic and therapeutic ...

Scanning and focusing mechanisms of METEOSAT radiometer [PDF]
Two mechanisms, both of screw-jack type are described. The scanning mechanism, an oil lubricated and sealed unit drives and accurately positions the telescope of the METEOSAT radiometer.
