Hydrogel‐Based Capacitive Sensor Model for Ammonium Monitoring in Aquaculture

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Traditional techniques for monitoring aquaculture water quality, particularly ammonium levels, harm fish. This work presents a novel capacitive sensor with an ionic hydrogel transducer to monitor ammonium concentration in real time based on the ammonium‐induced hydrogel dissociation and osmotic pressure. Monitoring aquaculture water quality, especially

A Robust Optimization Approach to a Real Humanitarian Cold Supply Chain Planning on the COVID-19 crisis [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
In this study, a vaccine supply chain model is developed considering the humanitarian aspects under uncertain conditions in Iran. There are three main components to supply the required vaccines for vaccination centers that can be designed and managed within three echelons: suppliers, distribution centers, and vaccination centers.

Static and Dynamic Behavior of Novel Y‐Shaped Sandwich Beams Subjected to Compressive Loadings: Integration of Supervised Learning and Experimentation

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the mechanical response of Y‐shaped core sandwich beams under compressive loading is investigated, using deep feed‐forward neural networks (DFNNs) for predictive modeling. The DFNN model accurately captures stress–strain behavior, influenced by design parameters and loading rates.

Teaching Turn-Taking Skills to Children with Autism using a Parrot-Like Robot [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
Robot Assisted Therapy is a new paradigm in many therapies such as the therapy of children with autism spectrum disorder. In this paper we present the use of a parrot-like robot as an assistive tool in turn taking therapy. The therapy is designed in the form of a card game between a child with autism and a therapist or the robot.

The Analysis of the Discourse Markers in the Narratives Elicited from Persian-speaking Children [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Linguistics, 2013
Discourse markers (DMs) are linguistic elements that index different relations and coherence between units of talk. Most research on the development of these forms has focused on conversations rather than narratives.
