Abstract Keir Starmer's resignation in June 2026 has been narrated almost entirely in domestic terms: the rise of Reform UK, the rout of the May local elections, the winter fuel payment and two‐child benefit cap retreats, the Mandelson appointment. Closeness and disappointment in Jordanian friendships Proximité et déception en amitié en Jordanie
