Young massive stars in the ISOGAL survey I. VLA observations of the ISOGAL l=+45 field [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
We present VLA radio continuum observations at 3.6 and 6 cm of a ~0.65 sq.deg. field in the galactic plane at l=+45deg . These observations are meant to be used in a comparison with ISO observations at 7 and 15 um of the same region.

Near-IR variability properties of a selected sample of AGB stars [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We present the results of a near-infrared monitoring programme of a selected sample of stars, initially suspected to be Mira variables and OH/IR stars, covering more than a decade of observations.

The plastic brain: neurotoxicity of micro- and nanoplastics

open access: yesParticle and Fibre Toxicology, 2020
Given the global abundance and environmental persistence, exposure of humans and (aquatic) animals to micro- and nanoplastics is unavoidable. Current evidence indicates that micro- and nanoplastics can be taken up by aquatic organism as well as by ...

A search for massive young stellar objects towards 98 CH$_{3}$OH maser sources

open access: yes, 2010
Using the 13.7 m telescope of Purple Mountain Observatory (PMO), a survey of J=1-0 lines of CO and its isotopes was carried out towards 98 methanol maser sources in January 2008. Eighty-five sources have infrared counterparts within one arcmin.

Recent pesticide exposure affects sleep: A cross-sectional study among smallholder farmers in Uganda

open access: yesEnvironment International, 2022
Background: Poorly educated smallholder farmers in low-income countries are highly exposed to pesticides. This can result in adverse mental health issues, of which sleep problems might be an underlying indicator. We aim to examine the association between

The IRAS minisurvey [PDF]

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 1984
Before the main IRAS all-sky survey was started, a preliminary survey of 900 deg^2 was carried out. Some results from this "minisurvey" are given here. The completeness of the minisurvey at galactic latitudes lbl = 20°-40° drops sharply at flux densities below 0.4, 0.4, 0.5, and 2.5 Jy at 12, 25, 60, and 100 μm.

Near-Infrared Photometry and Radio Continuum Study of the Massive Star Forming Regions IRAS 21413+5442 and IRAS 21407+5441 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
IRAS 21413+5442 and IRAS 21407+5441 are two massive star forming regions of high luminosity, likely associated with each other. Near-infrared photometry on these two IRAS sources was performed at UKIRT using the UFTI under excellent seeing conditions ...

Models for The IRAS Low Resolution Spectra of OH/IR Stars [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Astronomy and Space Sciences, 1998
We investigate models for the IRAS LRS)Low Resolution Spectra) of OH/IR stars. OH/IR stars often show the silicate features at 9.7 and in the spectra obtained by the IRAS LRS as well as remarkably red values in the IRAS photometric colors such as [60 ...

Identification of serum protein biomarkers for pre‐cancerous lesions associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...
