Radiogenomics and IR

Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, 2018
Radiogenomics involves the integration of mineable data from imaging phenotypes with genomic and clinical data to establish predictive models using machine learning. As a noninvasive surrogate for a tumor's in vivo genetic profile, radiogenomics may potentially provide data for patient treatment stratification.

We Are IR

CardioVascular and Interventional Radiology, 2010
THE publication of the Global Statement Defining Interventional Radiology (IR) in this issue comes at a time of critical growth and immense challenges for our specialty (1). Imageguided interventions are now as integral to health care as diagnostic imaging.

Behavior of Ir atoms and clusters on Ir surfaces

Physical Review B, 1990

From IR to Mobile IR

2017
This chapter highlights how Mobile Information Retrieval was born out of the mobile phone revolution and explains the similarities. After a very brief overview of Information Retrieval, it addresses the main differences between standard Information Retrieval and Mobile Information Retrieval.

Coopetition in IR Research

Proceedings of the 43rd International ACM SIGIR Conference on Research and Development in Information Retrieval, 2020
Coopetition is defined as competitors cooperating for the common good, an apt description of the community evaluations such as TREC that build infrastructure to support information retrieval (IR) research. This note summarizes the main points of a keynote talk presented at SIGIR 2020 that looks at the benefits and risks coopetition can engender in IR ...

Energetics of Ir adatoms on Ir(111)

Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter, 2000
The stability of Ir domains on Ir(111) is investigated theoretically by computing the relevant interaction energies. The study is based on a representation of the total energy in terms of a generalized Ising model containing effective cluster interactions which are determined from the electronic structure.

Narrative IR, Worldly IR

2019
This chapter addresses the ongoing debate on the subjects of narrative and voice in International Relations (IR). The first section explores the epistemological and methodological implications of taking narratives seriously as discussed in emblematic works in social sciences.

IR Models

Proceedings of the 2013 Conference on the Theory of Information Retrieval, 2012
In IR research it is essential to know IR models. Research over the past years has consolidated the foundations of IR models. Moreover, relationships have been reported that help to use and position IR models. Knowing about the foundations and relationships of IR models can significantly improve building information management systems. The first part of

IR polarimetry and far-IR imaging

SPIE Proceedings, 2004
The exploitation of infrared polarimetry has been shown to yield good results when applied to target discrimination in military applications and to civilian remote sensing problems. Similarly, numerous workers have shown that imaging sensors operating in the far infrared spectral bands may be useful in such counter-terror applications as concealed ...
