Klobuchar, NeQuickG, BDGIM, GLONASS, IRI-2016, IRI-2012, IRI-Plas, NeQuick2, and GEMTEC Ionospheric Models: A Comparison in Total Electron Content and Positioning Domains

open access: yesSensors, 2023
Global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) provide a great data source about the ionosphere state. These data can be used for testing ionosphere models. We studied the performance of nine ionospheric models (Klobuchar, NeQuickG, BDGIM, GLONASS, IRI-2016,

Iris and Lens Trauma – Iris Reconstruction

Klinische Monatsblätter für Augenheilkunde, 2020
AbstractIris and lens injuries entail a large spectrum and occur in closed and open globe injuries. Depending on accompanying ocular trauma (e.g. corneal involvement) as well as on the extend of the injuries several different surgical options are available ranging from suturing techniques to special individualized implants.

Iris Nodules in Essential Iris Atrophy

Archives of Ophthalmology, 1976
Seven cases are reported, believed to be the first in the literature, in which iris nodules are verified in the complete spectrum of essential iris atrophies. This feature appears late in the course of the disease as small yellow nodules that progressively increase in number and gradually become dark brown.

The Resistance of the Tissue of the Iris and the Form of the Iris

Archives of Ophthalmology, 1957
The resistance of an elastic membrane to a pressure acting on its surfaces depends on the primary resistance of the membrane and on its stretching. By stretching the resistance increases and the bulging produced by a pressure is reduced; by relaxation the resistance decreases and the bulging produced by a pressure is increased.

Iris Recognition for Iris Tilted in Depth

2003
The capability of conducting unconscious recognition, in the sense of identifying people without them knowing it, is increasingly important in security and surveillance applications. Iris recognition is one of the few biometric recognition technologies that could serve the purpose.

An Iris Segmentation Procedure for Iris Recognition

2004
Iris segmentation is a critical stage in the whole iris recognition process In this paper, a procedure of iris segmentation is presented which was designed on the basis of the natural properties of the iris The proposed procedure consists of two main steps: circles localization and non-iris region detection In our method, we took into consideration of ...

Angioma of the Iris

Ophthalmologica, 2010
The clinical and anatomopathological features of angioma of the iris are described and the relevant literature is briefly reviewed. A personal case in a 47-year-old woman is presented. Reference is made to the fact that, unlike many of the cases in the literature, histological confirmation of the diagnosis was obtained.

Iris Melanomas

American Journal of Ophthalmology, 1985
Most iris tumors behave benignly, reflecting their small size and the high proportion of nevi and spindle A melanomas. Of 1,043 reported iris melanomas, 31 metastasized (3%). Metastasis from a spindle A melanoma is not known to occur despite documented growth and local recurrence after excision.
