SNUPN‐Related Muscular Dystrophy: Novel Phenotypic, Pathological and Functional Protein Insights

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective SNUPN‐related muscular dystrophy or LGMDR29 is a new entity that covers from a congenital or childhood onset pure muscular dystrophy to more complex phenotypes combining neurodevelopmental features, cataracts, or spinocerebellar ataxia. So far, 12 different variants have been described.

A Comprehensive Overview of the Clinical, Electrophysiological, and Neuroimaging Features of BPAN: Insights From a New Case Series

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Neurodegeneration with brain iron accumulation (NBIA) comprises a genetically and clinically heterogeneous group of rare neurological disorders characterized particularly by iron accumulation in the basal ganglia. To date, 15 genes have been associated with NBIA.

Traumatic Microhemorrhages Are Not Synonymous With Axonal Injury

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Diffuse axonal injury (DAI) is caused by acceleration‐deceleration forces during trauma that shear white matter tracts. Susceptibility‐weighted MRI (SWI) identifies microbleeds that are considered the radiologic hallmark of DAI and are used in clinical prognostication.

Corrosion Behavior of Pipeline Carbon Steel under Different Iron Oxide Deposits in the District Heating System

open access: yesMetals, 2017
The corrosion behavior of pipeline steel covered by iron oxides (α-FeOOH; Fe3O4 and Fe2O3) was investigated in simulated district heating water. In potentiodynamic polarization tests; the corrosion rate of pipeline steel is increased under the iron oxide

Enhancing Corrosion Resistance and Mechanical Strength of 3D‐Printed Iron Polylactic Acid for Marine Applications via Laser Surface Texturing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Laser surface texturing significantly improves the corrosion resistance and mechanical strength of 3D‐printed iron polylactic acid (Ir‐PLA) for marine applications. Optimal laser parameters reduce corrosion by 80% and enhance tensile strength by 25% and ductility by 15%.

Le dépôt bimétallique du vie s. av. J.-C. de Tavers (Loiret, région Centre) : présentation liminaire

open access: yesGallia, 2015
A metal deposit from the Early Iron Age has recently been discovered in Tavers. Thanks to a geophysical prospection and a mechanical sounding campaign, we can suppose it was quite isolated. Several centuries after its burying, a large rural establishment
