Studies on an iron(iii)-peroxo porphyrin. Iron(iii)-peroxo or iron(ii)-superoxo?

Dalton Transactions, 2010
We demonstrate that a one electron reduced product of the heme iron dioxygen adduct exists in solution not only as the commonly accepted iron(iii)-peroxo species, but coexists with its isomeric iron(ii)-superoxo form. This unusual reduced metal-superoxide adduct [M(ii)-O(2)(-)] is recently reported as a reactive intermediate in the case of non-heme ...

Photoreactivity of Iron(III)−Aerobactin:  Photoproduct Structure and Iron(III) Coordination

Inorganic Chemistry, 2006
UV photolysis of the ferric aerobactin complex results in decarboxylation of the alpha-hydroxy carboxylic acid group of the central citrate moiety of aerobactin. The structure determination of the photooxidized ligand shows that decarboxylation occurs at the citrate moiety forming a 3-ketoglutarate moiety.

Iron (III) isomaltoside 1000

Expert Review of Hematology, 2013
Intravenous (iv.) iron is now the recommended treatment for iron deficiency anemia if oral preparations have failed or in those undergoing hemodialysis. Iron isomaltoside is a new iv. iron preparation, licensed since 2009 in the UK and Europe. The iron is tightly bound within a nonionic isomaltoside carbohydrate matrix, as opposed to most other iv ...

Iron(III) dihydrogenphosphate(I)

Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 2005
The structure of rhombohedral (R3) iron(III) tris[dihydrogenphosphate(I)] or iron(III) hypophosphite, Fe(H2PO2)3, has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The structure consists of [001] chains of Fe3+ cations in octahedral sites with -3 symmetry bridged by bidentate hypophosphite anions.

Paramagnetic hydrido-complexes of iron(I) and iron(III)

Journal of the Chemical Society, Dalton Transactions, 1975
The preparation and characterisation of the first paramagnetic hydrido-complexes of iron(I) and iron(III) of formula [FeH(dppe)2] and [FeHCl(dppe)2]X [dppe =(Ph2PCH2)2; X = BF4 or ClO4] are described.

Iron(III) acetates

Transition Metal Chemistry, 1978
The compound, Fe2CI2(OH)2(MeCO2)2 · 2MeCO2H · H2O, combines with lithium and silver acetates to form Fe2Cl(OH)2(MeCO2)3 · 2MeCO2H and Fe2(OH)2(MeCO2)4 · H2O, respectively. Iron(III)chloride in tetrahydrofuran reacts with silver acetate to give a precipitate consisting of a mixture of Fe(MeCO2)3 and AgCl which, when extracted with boiling acetic acid ...
