Iron Losses of Silicon Steel due to Rotating Fluxes (Inclined Rotating Flux and Distorted One) [PDF]
Characteristics of iron losses in silicon steel due to inclined rotating fluxes and distorted ones are described. Iron losses due to rotating fluxes have been measured at various conditions for grain-oriented and non-oriented silicon steels by using an ...

This study investigates the tribological response of 60NiTi alloy under dry, water‐lubricated and high‐temperature conditions. The alloy exhibits decreasing wear volume and friction with increasing temperature due to the formation of protective oxide layers. The work clarifies dominant wear mechanisms and demonstrates the suitability of 60NiTi for high‐

The potential for slug control with ferric phosphate [PDF]
Slug and snail damage, especially on young plants can mean serious economic loss for growers. Organic growers have in the past had few, if any, effective products to use for their control.

Missing Iron Problem and Type Ia Supernova Enrichment of Hot Gas in Galactic Spheroids [PDF]
Type Ia supernovae (Ia SNe) provide a rich source of iron for hot gas in galactic stellar spheroids. However, the expected super-solar iron abundance of the hot gas is not observed.

Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.

High‐frequency (HF) welding of steel is limited by oxide inclusions that degrade weld quality. This study demonstrates, for the first time, the integration of a nonthermal Ar/H2 dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma jet into HF welding. Local plasma treatment provides effective shielding and in‐situ oxide reduction, resulting in markedly fewer and ...

Electrical Conductivities of Conductors, Semiconductors, and Their Mixtures at Elevated Temperatures
This article presents a comprehensive review of temperature‐dependent electrical conductivity data for multiple material classes at elevated temperatures, highlighting a persistent conductivity gap between metals and semiconductors in the range of 102$\left(10\right)^{2}$– 107$\left(10\right)^{7}$ S/m. Metal–ceramic irregular metamaterials are proposed
