Iron losses in sweat

The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, 1986
The losses of iron in whole body cell-free sweat were determined in eleven healthy men. A new experimental design was used with a very careful cleaning procedure of the skin and repeated consecutive sampling periods of sweat in a sauna. The purpose was to achieve a steady state of sweat iron losses with minimal influence from iron originating from ...

Analysis of iron losses in induction motor with an improved iron-loss model

2014 IEEE Conference and Expo Transportation Electrification Asia-Pacific (ITEC Asia-Pacific), 2014
In order to study iron loss distribution characteristics in stator and motor of induction motor, an improved iron-loss model with higher accuracy is proposed based on time-stepping finite elements. In Section Two,various iron loss formulaes are compared. followed by an miproved iron-loss model.

Losses in silicon-iron

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1974
Measurements of total power loss and domain-wall spacing have been made on individual grains in polycrystalline specimens of commercial grain-oriented 3% silicon-iron material. The loss-per-cycle against frequency characteristic of a grain is found to consist of discrete linear portions, which correspond to different domain-wall spacings. These changes

Iron loss in machines with powdered iron stators

IEEE International Electric Machines and Drives Conference. IEMDC'99. Proceedings (Cat. No.99EX272), 2003
This paper describes iron loss measurements in a permanent magnet servomotor, which has a stator constructed with soft magnetic composites (SMCs). It is shown that whilst the SMC has significantly greater iron loss density than silicon iron steel, it has many other advantages. The SMC machine is shown to outperform its conventional laminated equivalent.
