Iron absorption and loss, and efficacy of iron supplementation with and without prebiotics in children with virally suppressed HIV: three prospective studies in South Africa [PDF]
Children living with HIV are at risk for iron deficiency, yet optimal strategies for prevention and treatment remain unclear. Here, we investigate iron absorption, losses, and the efficacy and safety of oral iron supplementation with versus without ...

The most critical obstacle for four-wheel independently driven electric vehicles (4WID-EVs) is the driving range. Being the actuators of 4WID-EVs, motors account for its major power consumption. In this sense, by properly distributing torques to minimize

Summary“Cell poor” and “cell rich” sweat samples from 25 normal subjects have been analyzed (total of 118 determinations). The iron content of “cell poor” sweat was negligible. On the other hand “cell rich” sweat contained a high concentration of iron.

SummaryMeasurements have been made of the decrease in specific activity of radioiron in circulating red cells of eight animal species. From these data calculations of body iron turnover have been made and establish a general inverse relationship between body size and rate of external iron exchange.

AC Magnetic Loss Reduction of SLM Processed Fe-Si for Additive Manufacturing of Electrical Machines
Additively manufactured soft magnetic Fe-3.7%w.t.Si toroidal samples with solid and novel partitioned cross-sectional geometries are characterized through magnetic measurements. This study focuses on the effect of air gaps and annealing temperature on AC
