Analysis of iron losses in induction motor with an improved iron-loss model
2014 IEEE Conference and Expo Transportation Electrification Asia-Pacific (ITEC Asia-Pacific), 2014In order to study iron loss distribution characteristics in stator and motor of induction motor, an improved iron-loss model with higher accuracy is proposed based on time-stepping finite elements. Iron loss in machines with powdered iron stators
IEEE International Electric Machines and Drives Conference. IEMDC'99. Proceedings (Cat. No.99EX272), 2003This paper describes iron loss measurements in a permanent magnet servomotor, which has a stator constructed with soft magnetic composites (SMCs). It is shown that whilst the SMC has significantly greater iron loss density than silicon iron steel, it has many other advantages. The SMC machine is shown to outperform its conventional laminated equivalent.

Biochemical Medicine, 1970Abstract A procedure involving dry ashing and spectrophotometry with thioglycollic acid is described for the determination of iron loss during menstruation. In its development the nonvolatility of iron was checked and wet-oxidation and dry-ashing methods of destroying organic matter compared with special reference to citrated whole blood.

Iron losses in turbogenerator teeth
Journal of Applied Physics, 1982The flux density was measured in a typical tooth of a 500-MV A synchronous generator. Peak flux densities of 14.3, 16.9, and 21.2 kG were observed in an open circuit test at 80%, 100%, and 125% of rated voltage. The search coil voltage waveforms were rich in odd harmonics tending toward a square wave.
