Determination of aluminium in iron ore and iron ore sinter by a complexometric method
The Analyst, 1976A complexometric method for the determination of aluminium in iron ore and sinter products has been developed. Iron, manganese, vanadium, etc., are complexed with mercaptoacetic acid, and aluminium and other elements such as titanium, if present, are precipitated as R2O3 with hexamethylenetetramine (hexamine).

Preparation and characterization of Portland cement clinker from iron ore tailings
Construction and Building Materials, 2019We report a type of high-magnesium and low-silicon iron ore tailings (IOT) utilized as a raw material replacing clay to produce cement clinkers by conventional sintering process.

Abstract It seems that implements and weapolas made of iron came into use in China about a thousand years later than in such ancient countries as Egypt or Mesopotamia. The true iron age began in these countries roughly in the middle of the second millennium B.C. whereas in China it did not begin until the middle of the first millennium P.

Recovery of Ultra-Fine Iron Ore from Iron Ore Tailings
Transactions of the Indian Institute of Metals, 2017Many attempts has been taken for further utilisation of the tailings and slimes through different routes i.e. beneficiation, agglomeration etc. Though the slimes and tailings contain huge ultra fines, conventional beneficiation methods many not be much effective for handling because of particle size limitations. Physicochemical method i.e.

The Iron Ores of the United States
Scientific American, 1888Abstract It is not presumed that in this hasty sketch all of the iron ores cast of the continental divide have been referred to, nor is it possible in the limited time at command to even enumerate the prominent features of the more important ones. ∗ As mined and supplied to our blast furnaces, the various classes of ores yield about as follows:

On the concentration of Cateruca iron ore
STUDIES IN ENGINEERING AND EXACT SCIENCESA processing route for an iron ore sample from the Cateruca deposit in the Jamba mining district, Huíla Province, Angola, was studied. The ore contained 31 % Fe, and the main gangue mineral was quartz. Thermal analysis, X-ray diffractometry, and Mössbauer spectroscopy revealed the following iron mineral distribution: 90 % as hematite, 8 % as magnetite,

West and Central African Iron Ore: A Lesson in the Contestability of the Iron Ore Market
SSRN Electronic Journal, 2012The paper briefly sets out factors behind Chinese demand for iron ore imports and the main features of China’s medium term resources consumption growth path. It then outlines the potential of major iron ore export countries to meet China’s medium term iron ore import demands. The focus of the paper in on the potential of iron ore supplies from west and ...
