Topology‐Orchestrated Multi‐physical Energy Control in Turtle Shell‐Inspired Metamaterials
A turtle shell‐inspired lattice metamaterial efficiently manages acoustic, fluid‐thermal, and mechanical energy flows simultaneously. The unique hybrid‐coupling architecture achieves superior sound attenuation via pore‐cavity resonance, facilitates effective airflow transport, and maximizes mechanical energy absorption through multistage cell ...

Recent Advances in Ferrite‐Based Materials for Biomedical Applications: A Comprehensive Review
Ferrite nanoplatforms are presented as tunable biomedical materials in which synthesis control, cation engineering, defect/morphology regulation, and surface functionalization govern structure–property–bioactivity relationships. These design strategies enable multifunctional applications including MRI contrast, magnetic hyperthermia, targeted drug ...

Reconfigurable Ferroelectric‐Like Two‐Dimensional Electron Gas at Room Temperature
We demonstrate the realization of a novel ferroelectric‐like two‐dimensional electron gas (2DEG) based on the epitaxial interface between SrO‐terminate SrTiO3 and ferroeletric KNb0.5Na0.5O3${\rm KNb}_{0.5}{\rm Na}_{0.5}{\rm O}_3$ thin films. We show nonvolatile control of the transport properties enabling spatially reconfigurable devices in which ...

Mechanistically Interpretable Artificial Intelligence for Designing Oxygen Electrocatalysts
Mechanistically interpretable artificial intelligence screens nearly seven million perovskite compositions and identifies key descriptors—d‐p hybridization and densification resistance—that govern oxygen electrocatalysis. The discovered BaCo0.8Nb0.1Zr0.1O3‐δ achieves a record 2.68 W cm−2 peak power density at 600°C with over 500 h of durable operation ...

Magnetic DNA Origami Nanorotors
Magnetic actuation is a powerful and broadly applicable actuation mechanism due to its programmability and compatibility with biological entities. Here we demonstrate magnetic DNA origami nanorotors (MADONAs) by assembling magnetic nanocubes on DNA origami.

A photoactive tweezers system based on photoactive colloids is developed and systematically investigated in this study. Through experimental and theoretical methods, we demonstrate that the photoredox reaction catalyzed by a dye‐sensitized TiO2 particle generates a strong positive phototaxis, enabling self‐entrapment in the beam center.

Plastic Flow of Iron Oxides And the Oxidation of Iron
Corrosion, 1957Under certain conditions, the oxidation of iron in oxygen at high temperatures is accompanied by the formation of a central box-like cavity the dimensions of which are identical to those of the original iron specimen. The decrease in size of this cavity with increasing temperature and its disappearance when the formation of magnetite and hematite is ...

Determination of metallic iron, iron(II) oxide, and iron(III) oxide in a mixture
Talanta, 1968A procedure is described for the estimation of metallic iron, ferrous oxide, and ferric oxide when present together. The sample is treated with bromine dissolved in ethanol, and filtered. Iron in the filtrate is titrated iodometrically, and corresponds to the metallic iron present in the mixture.

Sorption of Oxytetracycline to Iron Oxides and Iron Oxide-Rich Soils
Environmental Science & Technology, 2005The sorption interactions of oxytetracycline with goethite, hematite, and two iron oxide-rich soils were investigated using batch sorption experiments. Oxytetracycline sorption coefficients for goethite and hematite increased with pH to maximum values at pH approximately 8.
