Neutron Activation of Iron Tablets to Evaluate the Effects of Glycine on Iron Absorption

Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1984
Neutron bombardment (neutron flux, 3 X 10(12) neutrons/cm2/s) of prepared iron tablets containing glycine-iron or iron alone was performed to prepare radioactive tablets to assess the effects of glycine on iron absorption from tableted formulations.

Iron Supplementation: Oral Tablets versus Intramuscular Injection

International Journal of Sport Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism, 2006
Non-anemic, iron depleted women were randomly assigned to an injection group (IG) or oral group (OG) to assess which method is more efficient for increasing iron stores over a short time period. IG received a course of 5 × 2 mL intramuscular injections over 10 d, and OG received one tablet daily for 30 d.

Iron tablets: disintegration tests

Drug and Therapeutics Bulletin, 1965
