Solid Particle‐Liquid Metal Mixtures for Robust High‐Current Interconnects in Stretchable Electronics and Soft Robotics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Metallic microparticles dispersed in liquid metal interconnects mitigate electromigration‐induced failure by reconfiguring internal current density distributions. These fillers facilitate the growth of a robust, protective gallium oxide shell at elevated temperatures, shifting the failure threshold toward a thermal limit.

[Esophageal lesions induced by iron tablets].

open access: yesTidsskrift for den Norske laegeforening : tidsskrift for praktisk medicin, ny raekke, 1995
Oesophageal injury in the form of ulcers, with deposition of iron salts, was diagnosed histologically in 12 patients over a 3-years period. One patient died following perforation of the oesophagus. Not in any of the patients was the use of iron tablets thought of clinically as a possible cause of the lesion.

Strain‐Activated Mechanical Metamaterial With Programmable Dual‐Phase Stiffness and Enhanced Energy Absorption

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A strain‐activated mechanical metamaterial is developed to achieve programmable dual‐phase stiffness through an intrinsic geometric locking mechanism. Finite element modeling and parametric analysis identify the key design parameters governing activation strain, stiffness transition, and energy absorption.
