The ACRIM data in the context of stellar variability [PDF]
The Active Cavity Radiometer Irradiance Monitor (ACRIM) total-irradiance data from the Solar Maximum Mission have given a first comprehensive view of solar variability in the stellar sense.

Engineering an Optogenetic pH‐Modulator in Bacteria
ABSTRACT Cells in many naturally occurring organisms routinely cooperate to control their extracellular pH in a dynamic and reversible manner, but this capability has been underexplored in synthetic biology. Here, we sought to engineer a microbial system that switches between two states —high and low extracellular pH— with minimal human intervention ...

Secular Change in Equivalent Width of C 5380, 1978-1990 [PDF]
The equivalent width of the high excitation photospheric line of C 5380A has been measured 3 to 4 times monthly in the solar irradiance spectrum since 1978.

A volcano‐inspired dual‐carbon aerogel featuring hierarchical conduits and an outer carbon‐fiber shell directs rapid water transport, confines heat, and enables directional salt migration. Radial temperature gradients in the conical structure trigger Marangoni‐driven edge‐localized salt crystallization while maintaining an unobstructed photothermal ...

Irradiance levels of phototherapy devices fabricated in Nigeria
Background: Phototherapy (PT) remains difficult to deliver in many resource- constrained countries, including Nigeria due to the unavailability of devices that can deliver intensive PT (irradiance ≥30 µW/cm2 / nm) needed to treat the more severe cases of

Analytical Solutions for Current–Voltage Properties of PSCs and Equivalent Circuit Approximation
Perovksite solar cells have emerged as a promising photovoltaic technology due to their high increasing power conversion efficiency (PCE). However, challenges related to thermal instability and material toxicity, especially in lead-based perovskites ...

The development of polarization‐sensitive ultraviolet photodetectors is limited by poor heterojunction quality and low polarization sensitivity. This study integrates synthesized CsAg2I3 single crystals with intrinsic non‐centrosymmetry into van der Waals heterojunction devices, demonstrating pronounced pyro‐phototronic effect.
