Phenomenal knowledge and phenomenal causality

Abstract There has been extensive debate over whether we can have phenomenal knowledge in the case of epiphenomenalism. This article aims to bring that debate to a close. I first develop a refined causal account of knowledge—one that is modest enough to avoid various putative problems, yet sufficiently robust to undermine the epiphenomenalist position.

4in1 Procedure in Treating Congenital Dislocation of Patella in Children

Congenital dislocation of patella (CDP) is a rare condition. The 4in1 procedure includes lateral release, correction of quadriceps, Roux‐Goldthwait procedure, and medial patello‐femoral ligament (MPFL) reconstruction. Early diagnosis and the 4in1 procedure optimize patellar stability and knee function, preventing long‐term complications.

Outsourcing Love

ABSTRACT This paper responds to recent arguments for the outsourcing of parental obligations and shows why such proposals are morally problematic. After outlining why it is impermissible for the parent–child attachment to be outsourced, and prior to Section 4, I explain the meaning of the duty of love.
