Corvus A: A Low-mass, Isolated Galaxy at 3.5 Mpc
We report the discovery of Corvus A, a low-mass, gas-rich galaxy at a distance of approximately 3.5 Mpc, identified in DR10 of the Dark Energy Camera Legacy Imaging Survey during the initial phase of our ongoing SEmi-Automated Machine LEarning Search for

A Young Star Cluster in the Leo a Galaxy
We report a serendipitous discovery of a star cluster in the dwarf irregular galaxy Leo A. Young age (~28 Myr) and low mass (~510 M⊙) estimates are based on the isochrone fit assuming a metallicity derived for HII regions (Z = 0.0007).

Merger Induced Globular Cluster Formation and Galaxy Evolution [PDF]
Based on the earlier work of Gunn and McCrea we model the formation of globular clusters in merging galaxies. Neutral hydrogen observations of dwarf irregular galaxies as well as more luminous systems are used to provide the key parameters of the model ...

The CO contents of dwarf irregular galaxies
A search has been conducted for CO in 16 dwarf irregular galaxies selected to span a wide range of infrared luminosity and color. CO was detected in six dwarf galaxies spanning the entire range in optical color and IR luminosity. The dwarf galaxies extend by three orders of magnitude in luminosity the correlation between IR and CO luminosities found ...

Stellar Content and Recent Star Formation History of the Local Group Dwarf Irregular Galaxy IC 1613 [PDF]
We present resolved-star VI photometry of the Local Group dwarf irregular galaxy IC 1613 reaching I ∼ 23.5, obtained with the wide-field camera at the 2.5 m Isaac Newton Telescope. A fit to the stellar density distribution shows an exponential profile of

‘A Sort of Armed Argument’: Ireland's Civil War of Words
Abstract This article sets out to contribute to the study of the languages of European civil wars through outlining and analysing the deployment of language as a weapon by the opposing sides of the Irish independence movement that split over the terms of the Anglo‐Irish Treaty of December 1921.

Neutral Hydrogen and Star Formation in the Irregular Galaxy NGC 2366 [PDF]
We present deep UBVJHK Hα images and H I maps of the irregular galaxy NGC 2366. Optically, NGC 2366 is a boxy-shaped exponential disk seen at high inclination angle.
