Topographically forced long waves on a sheared coastal current. Part 2. Finite amplitude waves
This paper analyses the finite-amplitude flow of a constant-vorticity current past coastal topography in the long-wave limit. A forced finite-amplitude long-wave equation is derived to describe the evolution of the vorticity interface.

An experiment on harbour resonance induced by incident regular waves and irregular short waves
It is generally accepted that bound long waves generated by wind waves excite harbour resonance. Nevertheless it is not clear if there are differences in the harbour response when resonance is induced by incident regular free long waves or by incident ...

n‐Type Polymer Radio Frequency Rectifiers Operating at 18.5 GHz
Combining an n‐doped polymer semiconductor with wafer‐scale asymmetric planar electrodes featuring work function‐engineered contacts yields radio‐frequency diodes and rectifying circuits operating at up to 18.5 GHz. The devices combine scalable manufacturing with an operating frequency previously unattainable by large‐area organic electronics ...

Dynamical Models of Extreme Rolling of Vessels in Head Waves
Rolling of a ship is a swinging motion around its length axis. In particular vessels transporting containers may show large amplitude roll when sailing in seas with large head waves.

We address the inherently weak particle adhesion of conventional air filters by coating a dynamically crosslinked adhesive layer that delivers capillarity‐driven strong adhesion and particle absorption mediated by dynamic bond exchange. The resulting enhancement in particle adhesion enables efficient ultrafast (up to 20 m s−1) and omnidirectional ...

This study explores how machine learning models, trained on small experimental datasets obtained via Phase Doppler Anemometry (PDA), can accurately predict droplet size (D32) in ultrasonic spray coating (USSC). By capturing the influence of ink complexity (solvent, polymer, nanoparticles), power, and flow rate, the model enables precise droplet control

Additively Manufactured Porous Ceramics as Tunable Dielectrics for Passive Temperature Sensing
Porous ceramic lattices, 3D‐printed from a multicomponent oxide ink, are integrated with LC resonators for passive wireless temperature sensing. By tuning porosity, the dielectric properties and RF response are engineered to produce distinct resonant frequency shifts with temperature. The results establish a structure‐driven approach to customizing the
