Irrigation Water Requirements of Lawns

Journal of the Irrigation and Drainage Division, 1965
Irrigation water requirements for lawn grasses can be estimated by an empirical formula when adequate climatological data are available. The modified Blaney-Criddle formula can be used for this purpose. This procedure is explained and recommendations are made for the use of the results in accordance with the lawn condition desired.

Irrigation Water Requirement Model

1985
Reasonably good estimates of consumptive use, farm and irrigation water requirements are essential in planning, design and operation of irrigation add drainage systems, and for evaluation and management of hydrologic and water resources systems. The availability of climatic records for many planned irrigation areas, particularly in developing countries,

Water requirements and irrigation.

2010
Abstract An account is given on the different properties of irrigation systems needed to fulfill the water requirements of bananas and plantains. Topics covered include: irrigation systems (flood or furrow irrigation, overcanopy sprinklers, undercanopy sprinklers, microjet or microspinners, and drip irrigation); irrigation scheduling; and ...

The Agricultural Requirement for Irrigation Water

Water and Environment Journal, 1989
AbstractThis paper presents a quantitative analysis of irrigation requirements in different climatic areas of England and Wales. The analysis takes account of the differing requirements of various crops and variation in soil texture. The results include an estimation of irrigation requirement in an average year, a typical dry year for irrigation ...

Water Requirements of Rostered Irrigation Schemes

Journal of the Irrigation and Drainage Division, 1972
A method is given whereby the water requirements of a rostered irrigation scheme can be determined by considering the length of the roster period and the calculated soil moisture deficit at which irrigation is applied. From this the storage likely to be needed can be calculated. The method is computer processed so variations can easily be studied.

Irrigation Water Requirements in Texas

Journal of the Irrigation and Drainage Division, 1964
The derivation of irrigation water requirements and an explanation of their use for project planning work in Texas is presented in which effective precipitation, consumptive use, farm waste and deep percolation losses, canal and lateral losses, return flows, and diversion requirements are discussed.

Irrigation Water Requirements

1970
Excerpts from the report: It is essential that the water requirements and consumptive use of water be known in irrigation planning for soil conservation and irrigation districts and for individual farms. Conservation of water supplies, as well as of soils, is of first importance in the agricultural economy.

Water Requirement of Irrigated Garlic

2007 Minneapolis, Minnesota, June 17-20, 2007, 2007
A replicated field trial was conducted on the west side of the San Joaquin Valley to determine the crop coefficient and water requirements of irrigated garlic. Irrigation systems used included simulated furrow irrigation, subsurface drip irrigation, and surface drip irrigation.
