The prevention of allergic contact dermatitis hinges on maintaining the integrity of the skin barrier and responding appropriately when it is disturbed. Although intact skin is subject to sensitization via highly irritating allergens, such as poison ivy,

Causal Networks of Infodemiological Data: Modelling Dermatitis [PDF]
Environmental and mental conditions are known risk factors for dermatitis and symptoms of skin inflammation, but their interplay is difficult to quantify; epidemiological studies rarely include both, along with possible confounding factors. Infodemiology leverages large online data sets to address this issue, but fusing them produces strong patterns of

Small rational points on elliptic curves over number fields [PDF]
Let E/k be an elliptic curve over a number field. We obtain some quantitative refinements of results of Hindry-Silverman, giving an upper bound for the number of k-rational torsion points, and a lower bound for the canonical height of non-torsion k-rational points, in terms of expressions depending explicitly on the degree of k and the Szpiro ratio of ...

Exploring the Activation of the Keap1‐Nrf2‐ARE Pathway by PAHs in Children's Toys
Our study evaluated the skin sensitisation risk of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in toys, revealing that B[k]F, B[b]F and chrysene are highly potent sensitizers. Synergistic effects in PAH mixtures underscore the need to consider combined exposures when assessing environmental risks to children.

Plant dermatitis: Asian perspective
Occupational and recreational plant exposure on the skin is fairly common. Plant products and extracts are commonly used and found extensively in the environment. Adverse reactions to plants and their products are also fairly common.
