RETRACTED: A randomized, double‐blind, controlled study evaluating the effects of two facial serums on skin aging

open access: yesSkin Research and Technology, Volume 29, Issue 11, November 2023., 2023
Abstract Background Skin aging is a natural process that occurs because of oxidative stress. Facial skin aging is often concerning for individuals due to the exposure of the face. Objectives To assess and compare the effects of two anti‐aging facial serums on the following characteristics associated with facial skin aging: fine lines/wrinkles, age ...

As predicted and more: modulated channel occupation in YZn5+x

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section B, Volume 79, Issue 4, Page 320-329, August 2023., 2023
The superspace approach is used to determine the structure of a modulated form of YZn5+x (x = 0.217), which is an ordered variant of the previously described EuMg5+x‐type structure, with its channels containing disordered Zn atoms. The details of the pattern align closely with earlier predictions based on DFT‐chemical pressure analysis of ordered ...

Clinical Pregnancy Is Not Associated with Sperm Quality in POSEIDON Group 1 and 2 Patients

open access: yesAndrologia, Volume 2023, Issue 1, 2023., 2023
This study is aimed at establishing the effects of varying sperm quality on IVF‐ICSI/IMSI outcomes in unexpected poor ovarian responder subjects of POSEIDON groups 1 and 2. In the present study, 1,263 couples with female partners who fulfilled the POSEIDON group 1 and 2 criteria were recruited.

Local Stability to Periodicity in the EuMg5+x Type: Chemical Pressure, Disordered Channels, and Predicted Superstructure in YZn5.225

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, Volume 648, Issue 15, August 12, 2022., 2022
We investigate an intriguing addition to the family of chemical pressure‐driven variations on the CaCu5 type: the EuMg5‐type intermetallics, as exemplified by YZn5. Our structural reinvestigation of YZn5 reveals a disordered occupation pattern of Zn atoms within these channels, consistent with the EuMg5+x type, leading to the composition YZn5.225.

Extraskeletal Ewing sarcoma in children, adolescents, and young adults. An analysis of three prospective studies of the Cooperative Weichteilsarkomstudiengruppe (CWS)

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, Volume 68, Issue 10, October 2021., 2021
Abstract Background We have analyzed the outcome of patients with localized extraskeletal Ewing sarcoma (EES) treated in three consecutive Cooperative Weichteilsarkomstudiengruppe (CWS) soft tissue sarcoma (STS) studies: CWS‐91, CWS‐96, and CWS‐2002P.

Noncentrosymmetric Tetrel Pnictides RuSi4P4 and IrSi3P3: Nonlinear Optical Materials with Outstanding Laser Damage Threshold

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 31, Issue 16, April 15, 2021., 2021
RuSi4P4 and IrSi3P3 crystallizes in noncentrosymmetric structures composed of fac‐octahedral MSi3P3 units with strong directional covalent MSi and MP bonding. The developed novel synthetic method allows to produce bulk single‐phase samples, redetermine crystal structures, and characterize non‐linear optical properties.

The emerging role of fibroblast‐like synoviocytes‐mediated synovitis in osteoarthritis: An update

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 24, Issue 17, Page 9518-9532, September 2020., 2020
Abstract Osteoarthritis (OA), the most ubiquitous degenerative disease affecting the entire joint, is characterized by cartilage degradation and synovial inflammation. Although the pathogenesis of OA remains poorly understood, synovial inflammation is known to play an important role in OA development. However, studies on OA pathophysiology have focused

Analysis of Outage Probability and Throughput for Energy Harvesting Full‐Duplex Decode‐and‐Forward Vehicle‐to‐Vehicle Relay System

open access: yesWireless Communications and Mobile Computing, Volume 2020, Issue 1, 2020., 2020
In this paper, we evaluate the performance of a vehicle‐to‐vehicle (V2V) system where full‐duplex relay (FDR) harvests the energy from source and uses decode‐and‐forward (DF) protocol to forward data from source to destination. Unlike existing works about FDR systems, we consider the scenario that both relay and destination are moving vehicles, leading
