ISAC-II : a project for higher energies at ISAC

PACS2001. Proceedings of the 2001 Particle Accelerator Conference (Cat. No.01CH37268), 2015
In the field of nuclear physics it is generally acknowledged that a new frontier will be probed when radioactive ion beams of sufficient intensity and quality become available. With the ISAC facility, TRIUMF has positioned itself as offering the best possible source of exotic beams in the world for many years to come.

ISAC overview

Hyperfine Interactions, 2013
TRIUMF operates the rare ion beam facility ISAC, which provides intense beams of short lived isotopes in the energy range from 0.15 to 5 A MeV for A < 30 to a full suite of world class experimental apparatus, enabling a forefront research program focused on understanding the evolution of nuclear structure towards the limits of existence, the origin of ...

ISACs take a Toll on tumors

Nature Cancer, 2020
Immunostimulatory agents such as Toll-like receptor (TLR) agonists have shown promising antitumor efficacy but are associated with therapy-related toxicities when delivered systemically. Immune-stimulating antibody conjugates are now shown to deliver TLR agonists with potent preclinical antitumor activities.

ISAC targets

Hyperfine Interactions, 2013
The TRIUMF-ISAC radioactive ion beam facility was designed and constructed to allow irradiation of thick targets with up to 100 \(\upmu \)A proton beam intensities. Since beginning operation in 1998, beam intensities on ISAC targets have progressively increased toward the 100 \(\upmu \)A design limit.

An overview of ISAC

The eighth international conference on heavy-ion accelerator technology, 1999
Construction has begun on ISAC, a radioactive ion beam (RIB) and accelerator facility that utilizes the ISOL (on-line isotope separation) production method. A five-year budget for this new radioactive beam facility at TRIUMF was approved in June 1995.

ISAC Moves Beyond the Coulomb Barrier with ISAC-II Commissioning

Nuclear Physics News, 2006
The initial stage of the ISAC-II upgrade consisting of the installation of a heavy ion superconducting linac has been successfully commissioned. This milestone makes possible the acceleration of radioactive ions above the Coulomb barrier. In brief, the ISAC (Isotope Separator and Accelerator) facility[1], operational since 1998, includes a 500 MeV ...

CORAS for the Research of ISAC

2008 International Conference on Convergence and Hybrid Information Technology, 2008
The development of the Internet has elicited the importance of information security. For national information security, other than providence and release of information security protection messages, critical infrastructure information protection (CIIP) has also become part of the overall network security.
