Two Dimensional Array Imaging with Beam Steered Data

open access: yes, 2013
This paper discusses different approaches used for millimeter wave imaging of two-dimensional objects. Imaging of a two dimensional object requires reflected wave data to be collected across two distinct dimensions.

3-D Microwave Imaging for Breast Cancer [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We introduce a novel microwave imaging technique for breast cancer detection. Our approach provides a one-pass inverse image solution, which is completely new and unprecedented, unrelated to tomography or radar-based algorithms, and unburdened by the ...

Development of a Novel Frailty Trigger for Use at Triage in the Emergency Department

open access: yesAcademic Emergency Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Emergency Department (ED) Triage identifies patients with urgent needs. Frailty is not routinely identified and older patients presenting atypically may be inappropriately triaged as low priority. The introduction of a frailty modifier at triage is recommended in international guidelines, but is not yet widely‐adopted.

High‐speed target imaging for vortex electromagnetic wave radar

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar & Navigation, 2022
Vortex electromagnetic waves (VEMWs) carrying orbital angular momentum (OAM) are promising to benefit the higher degree of freedom for inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging on account of their helical wavefront.

The Therapeutic Potential of Farm Dust Extracts in a Mouse Model of Eosinophilic Inflammation

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
Farm dust extract (FDE) treatment reduces airway eosinophilia, mucus overproduction, and MHC‐II expression on DCs, limiting antigen presentation and Th2 inflammation. It increases PD‐L1 on DCs, promoting T cell deactivation. Additionally, FDE enhances Tregs and upregulates CTLA‐4, reinforcing suppression.

Assessing Skin Barrier Integrity: A Comparative Study Using Transepidermal Water Loss, Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy and Corneometry

open access: yesContact Dermatitis, EarlyView.
This study compares experimental models of human skin barrier disruption and evaluates non‐invasive assessment methods. It highlights electrical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) as a novel tool of quantifying skin barrier damage and supports methodological standardisation and an improved understanding of barrier dysfunction under real‐world conditions ...

Optimizing Flood Hazard Zonation and Planning Landscape‐Based Mitigation Measures in Gimba Sub Watersheds, Northeastern Ethiopia: A Comprehensive Approach

open access: yesJournal of Flood Risk Management, Volume 19, Issue 1, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Flooding remains one of the most critical natural hazards threatening livelihoods, infrastructure, and ecological systems in Ethiopia's highland landscapes. This study presents a rigorously integrated, multi‐criteria flood risk assessment that combines the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) with GIS‐based spatial modeling to delineate ...

A Fast and Accurate Compressed Sensing Reconstruction Algorithm for ISAR Imaging

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Compressed sensing (CS) has provided a novel way for inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging. In CS based ISAR imaging, the continuous range-Doppler plane is divided into grids, and the strong scattering points are assumed on the grids.
