Ischemia postconditioning preventing lung ischemia–reperfusion injury

Gene, 2015
This study evaluates the inhibitory effect of IPO against ischemia reperfusion (I/R) induced lung injury in rats.Anesthetized and mechanically ventilated adult Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly assigned to one of the following groups (n=12 each): the sham operated control group, the ischemia-reperfusion (IR) group (30min of left-lung ischemia and 24h ...

Mesenteric Ischemia

Silent myocardial ischemia

Current Opinion in CARDIOLOGY, 1986
Silent myocardial ischemia has emerged from a subject of mainly research interest to one with important clinical implications for practicing physicians. Although the pathophysiologic mechanisms responsible for the absence of pain are still not clear, it is apparent that episodes of silent myocardial ischemia are frequent and occur in many patients with

Papilloarterial Ischemia.

Annals of ophthalmology, 1981
Six cases of vascularly induced disc edema are described. Patients were all fairly young, with only slight and mostly transient visual decrease in spite of impaired pupillary reflexes (three cases) and altitudinal field defects. Bilateral, though asymmetric, involvement was detected in three cases.
