AbstractA new genus and species of bat‐flea, Coorilla longictena, belonging to the subfamily Ischnopsyllinae, is described and illustrated. It is known only from eight specimens, probably all from mastiff bats, Tadarida spp., from New South Wales. Its affinities with other genera are discussed.
