Predictive Registry Optimization of Molecular Adsorbates on Solid Surfaces

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 34, 17 August 2026.
Local C–H “spikes” from a π‐conjugated backbone lock into graphene “pockets”. A geometric registry score turns images obtained by scanning tunneling microscopy at the solid/liquid interface into atomic‐scale adsorption models, enabling assignment of surface atropisomers in large π‐conjugated molecules.

The impact of audio versus audiovisual stimuli with or without face masking on judgements about different varieties of Asian English

open access: yesWorld Englishes, Volume 45, Issue 3, Page 504-531, September 2026.
Abstract This study explores ways in which multilingual English listeners react to and rate three varieties of Asian English in three presentational modes: audio only, audiovisual and audiovisual with a face mask. Using a speech intelligibility framework, the study examines the extent to which presentational mode affects intelligibility and listener ...

Characterization of Ovarian Cell Types and Molecular Signatures in Mauremys reevesii Using Single‐Cell Sequencing

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 16, 31 August 2026.
This study employed single‐cell transcriptomics to identify six major cell types in the Mauremys reevesii ovary. Except for an unknown cell group, five cell types, including oocytes, granulosa cells, fibroblasts, immune cells, and endothelial cells, were characterized with specific marker genes.

ISH-based HER2 diagnostics

Der Pathologe, 2020
A prerequisite for all HER2 directed therapies is the demonstration of HER2 receptor protein overexpression and/or gene amplification by in situ hybridization (ISH). ASCO and CAP have published several HER2 test guidelines over the past 15 years for both breast and gastric cancer. The latest version for breast cancer (2018) focuses on special issues of

One ISH, two ISH, red ISH, blue ISH: choosing the right in situ hybridisation protocol

Development, 2006
It is nearly a quarter of a century since the groundbreaking experiments of Ernst Hafen ([Hafen et al., 1983][1]) and Mike Levine ([Levine et al., 1983][2]), who first applied the technique of in situ hybridisation (ISH) to embryo specimens.

‘Straight-ish’

Gender and Language, 2019
Despite a robust literature on agency in language, gender, and sexuality research, constraints on agency as seen through multiple layers of identity, conflict, or construct are less clearly discussed. Through an analysis of straightidentified men seeking other men on a popular internet personal advertisement forum, I examine the language that ...

2022
In the highly constructed landscapes of memory in the United States, existing practices of preservation and maintenance of the past are centered on addition and expansion of what has value within the collective public memory, but there is a hesitation that lingers around the notion of deconstruction, or devaluation of historical places.
