The Shi arrangement and the Ish arrangement [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper is about two arrangements of hyperplanes. The first — the Shi arrangement — was introduced by Jian-Yi Shi to describe the Kazhdan-Lusztig cells in the affine Weyl group of type A.

Isosteric Substitution Enables Rational Design of Two‐Dimensional Energetic Crystals

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Isosteric substitution transforms a classical nitro–amine motif into two‐dimensional aminofurazans with performance beyond TATB. ABSTRACT Two‐dimensional (2D) energetic crystals dissipate mechanical insult via interlayer slip, yet their molecular design space remains narrow.

tBid‐Mediated Genetic Ablation of Connective Tissue Cells Reveals Their Key Regulatory Function During Limb Regeneration in Axolotls

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We establish a tBid‐mediated cell ablation system in axolotls, achieve rapid and efficient ablation of multiple cell types, including muscle stem cell, spinal cord cell, and connective tissue (CT) cells. We investigate the role of CT using tBid‐mediated CT ablation and identify its essential role for limb development and regeneration.

Intestinal lymphangiectasia in a patient with infantile systemic hyalinosis syndrome: a rare cause of protein-losing enteropathy

open access: yesAnnals of Saudi Medicine, 2012
Infantile systemic hyalinosis (ISH) is a rare autosomal recessive disease. Typically, ISH patients present with progressive painful joint contractures, intractable diarrhea, hyperpigmented skin lesions, and perianal fleshy nodules.

Fine‐Tuned Regulation of mRNA Translation and Transport by STAU2 Condensate Facilitates Neuronal Development and Plasticity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
STAU2 undergoes phase separation to form dynamic condensates that package target mRNAs and deliver them to the distal ends of growing neuronal dendrites. STAU2 condensates stabilize embedded mRNAs and repress their translation. Synaptic activity bidirectionally remodels STAU2 condensates, coordinating local translation of STAU2‐associated mRNAs ...

Tumor‐Infiltrating mregDCs Restrain Anti‐Tumor Immunity in Early Relapse HCC

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tumor‐infiltrating mregDCs are regulated by the TNFR2‐non‐canonical NF‐κB axis, which is mediated by TNF‐α secreted by CD161+CD8+ T cells. These mregDCs recruit CD161+CD8+ T cells via the CCL20‐CCR6 axis, forming a positive feedback loop that enhances immunosuppression, promotes early recurrence of HCC, and further confirms TNFR2 as a key therapeutic ...

Which transport modes do people use to travel to coworking spaces (CWSs)?

open access: yesMultimodal Transportation, 2023
: There are many different ways of practicing coworking, and many different forms of CoWorking Spaces (CWSs). In this paper, we define CWSs in economic and spatial terms, and we provide some explanations on the transport mode used to travel to.
