SPADE: A Deep Learning Framework for Spatial Mapping and Quantitative Cell–Cell Interaction Inference

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SPADE integrates spatial transcriptomics with single‐cell RNA sequencing by using cell–cell communications (CCC) as a guide for spatial mapping. It improves cell‐type localization, enhances sparse gene‐expression signals, and reveals CCC programs at single‐spot resolution.

Cell Segmentation Beyond 2D—A Review of the State‐of‐the‐Art

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Cell segmentation underpins many biological image analysis tasks, yet most deep learning methods remain limited to 2D despite the inherently 3D nature of cellular processes. This review surveys segmentation approaches beyond 2D, comparing 2.5D and fully 3D methods, analyzing 31 models and 32 volumetric datasets, and introducing a unified reference ...

Detection of bacterial DNA by in situ hybridization in patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis

open access: yesBMC Gastroenterology, 2017
Background Spontaneous bacterial peritonitis (SBP) is often difficult to diagnose because bacteria in ascites cannot be detected accurately by conventional culture.

Unearthing history by reinterpreting myths and traditions ( Book Review By Ish Mishra)

open access: yes, 2018
Brahmanical history is based on myths. It neither has been constructed chronologically nor is factually correct. It has eclipsed the reality with a cobweb of myths. To establish a new creed, established dogmas must be disproven.

P112 Influence of Cuff Blood Pressure Accuracy on Identification of Isolated Systolic Hypertension

open access: yesArtery Research, 2020
Introduction: Isolated systolic hypertension (ISH) is the most common form of hypertension in older people. However, accurate identification of ISH may be hindered because cuff blood pressure (BP) underestimates systolic BP (SBP) and overestimates ...

Towards a morphosyntactic analysis of -ish

open access: yes, 2017
This article deals with the morphosyntactic and semantic properties of the adjectives derived with the English morpheme -ish. The main goal of the paper is to outline a morphosyntactic analysis of -ish that: (i) accounts for its cross-categorial nature,

Expanded application to plant reproductive tissues of a branched DNA probe‐based in situ hybridization method

open access: yesApplications in Plant Sciences, EarlyView.
Abstract Premise Detecting clear tissue‐ and organ‐specific patterns of gene expression is key to understanding the genetic mechanisms that control plant development. In situ hybridization (ISH) of mRNA is one of the most precise, yet most challenging approaches to gene expression assays.
