This study examines the surface characteristics of AlInP (001), crucial for advanced solar cells and photoelectrochemical devices. Using theoretical modeling and experiments, it identifies how phosphorus‐rich and indium‐rich surfaces create mid‐gap states that pin the Fermi level and influence ultrafast electron dynamics.

Bootstrapping mixed correlators in the 3D Ising model [PDF]
A bstractWe study the conformal bootstrap for systems of correlators involving nonidentical operators. The constraints of crossing symmetry and unitarity for such mixed correlators can be phrased in the language of semidefinite programming. We apply this

EuSc₂Te₄, an antiferromagnetic semiconductor, exhibits a nonlinear Hall effect (NLHE) characterized by quadratic current–voltage behavior. Combined experimental and theoretical studies reveal that this NLHE is linked to its antiferromagnetism and involves contributions from the quantum metric.

Static universality of the Ising and Blume–Capel models on two-dimensional Penrose tiles
We study the phase transitions and the critical behavior of the Ising and Blume–Capel models on two kinds of two-dimensional Penrose tiles employing Monte Carlo methods and detailed finite-size scaling analysis.

High-dimensional Ising model selection with Bayesian information criteria [PDF]
We consider the use of Bayesian information criteria for selection of the graph underlying an Ising model. In an Ising model, the full conditional distributions of each variable form logistic regression models, and variable selection techniques for ...

A novel polymer electrolyte membrane with a hyperbranched interpenetrating hydrogen bond network structure is developed. The unique structure of the hyperbranched polymer contributes to a high glass transition temperature exceeding 400 °C, enabling its operation at elevated temperatures for fuel cell applications.

To enhance the sustainability of electrochemical separations for resource recovery, a photoelectrochemical ion recovery system is developed that utilizes renewable solar energy. A composite integrating titianium dioxide nanorods and a redox‐copolymer enables spontaneous cation adsorption and light‐activated redox reactions for regeneration, thus ...
