Nitrogen‐Doped Ultrananocrystalline Diamond – Optoelectronic Biointerface for Wireless Neuronal Stimulation

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 14, Issue 9, April 4, 2025.
Researchers demonstrate a diamond‐based, wireless biointerface capable of generating safe capacitive current under pulsed light illumination in the visible and near‐infrared light region. This biointerface is long‐lasting and the first among diamond‐based electrodes capable of optically‐controlled, non‐genetic modulation of intracellular calcium ...

Highly Extensible Physically Crosslinked Hydrogels for High‐Speed 3D Bioprinting

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 14, Issue 10, April 15, 2025.
A highly extensible novel hydrogel platform created by facile mixing of cellulose‐based polymer and additives such as non‐ionic surfactants or cyclodextrins is developed. These hydrogels broadly display tunable stiffness, viscoelasticity, stress‐relaxation, and extensional behaviors by simply controlling the composition of the biomaterials.

Synthetic Control of Water‐Stable Hybrid Perovskitoid Semiconductors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Hybrid metal‐halide perovskites are promising semiconductors for optoelectronics, yet their water stability is problematic. A new synthesis method is developed using lead iodide and cysteamine under various pH conditions, forming stable perovskitoid structures.
