PIP5K1A Suppresses Ferroptosis and Induces Sorafenib Resistance by Stabilizing NRF2 in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inducing ferroptosis is a promising strategy for combating tumor resistance. Upregulated PIP5K1A competes with NRF2 for KEAP1 binding, which decreases the ubiquitination degradation of NRF2 and promotes its nuclear translocation, thereby suppressing ferroptosis, and ultimately driving hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) tumorigeneses and sorafenib ...

An in‐depth Study of the Solid Electrolyte Interphase Compositional Evolution in Sodium‐Ion Batteries: Unravelling the Effects of a Na Metal Counter Electrode on the SEI

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Compositional evolution of the solid electrolyte interphase in Na‐ion batteries is investigated, focusing on the effects of sodium metal counter electrodes on interphase formation. Advanced analytical techniques are employed to uncover distinct differences in interphase chemistry in half‐cell versus full‐cell configurations.

β‐Mangostin Attenuates TET2‐Mediated DNA Demethylation of Prkcg in the Prevention of Intervertebral Disc Degeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
β‐Mangostin alleviates intervertebral disc degeneration through dual modulation of macrophage polarization and the TET2‐Prkcg axis in nucleus pulposus cells. Abstract Intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD) induced lower back pain is a main cause of disability, resulting in a substantial workforce loss worldwide and placing a substantial burden on the ...

Ultra‐Low Hysteresis Under Large Deformation Enabled by Fast Chains Relaxation in Highly Competitive Dynamic Hydrogen Bond Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that incorporating deep eutectic solvent (DES) components tunes the relaxation dynamics of strong hydrogen bonds between polymer segments, rendering them mechanically “invisible” during service conditions (low hysteresis: <3%).
