The non-von Neumann computer architecture has been widely studied to prepare us for the post-Moore era. The authors implemented this kind of architecture, which finds the lower energy state of the Ising model using circuit operations inspired by ...

Quantum annealing in the transverse Ising model [PDF]
We introduce quantum fluctuations into the simulated annealing process of optimization problems, aiming at faster convergence to the optimal state. Quantum fluctuations cause transitions between states and thus play the same role as thermal fluctuations ...

Gravity dual of the Ising model
We evaluate the partition function of three dimensional theories of gravity in the quantum regime, where the AdS radius is Planck scale and the central charge is of order one. The contribution from the AdS vacuum sector can - with certain assumptions - be computed and equals the vacuum character of a minimal model CFT.

Color Representations of Ising Models [PDF]
AbstractIn Steif and Tykesson (J Prob 16:899–955, 2019), the authors introduced the so-called general divide and color models. One of the best-known examples of such a model is the Ising model with external field $$ h = 0 $$ h = 0 , which ...

Nucleons as modified Ising models*
Abstract In this paper, we propose a map that connects nucleons bound in nuclei and Ising spins in the Ising model. This proposal is based on the fact that the description of states of nucleons and Ising spins could share the same type of observables.

Two‐way inhibition of PAX5 transcriptional activity by PAX5::CBFA2T3
PAX5::CBFA2T3 (PAX5‐C) is a fusion protein of the B‐cell transcription factor, PAX5, and is found in B‐cell ALL. We propose a putative model of two‐way inhibition of PAX5 transcriptional activity by PAX5‐C. There are two ways of repression by PAX5‐C: DNA‐binding‐dependent way and HDAC‐dependent way, with either being sufficient for the repression. HDAC

Scale invariance implies conformal invariance for the three-dimensional Ising model. [PDF]
Using the Wilson renormalization group, we show that if no integrated vector operator of scaling dimension -1 exists, then scale invariance implies conformal invariance.

Stage‐Dependent Inhibitory Connectivity in Striatal‐Motor Circuit in Huntington's Disease
ABSTRACT Background Elucidating dysfunctional connectivity patterns among key brain regions in Huntington's disease (HD) underlying progression may have implications for developing treatment and therapeutic evaluation. Objective Explore the relationship between abnormal spontaneous resting‐state activity and atrophy in HD‐specific brain regions and ...

Ground state of a spin-1/2 Heisenberg-Ising two-leg ladder with XYZ intra-rung coupling
The quantum spin-1/2 two-leg ladder with an anisotropic XYZ Heisenberg intra-rung interaction and Ising inter-rung interactions is treated by means of a rigorous approach based on the unitary transformation.

Parallel simulation of the Ising model [PDF]
Methods for parallelizing Ising model simulations are presented. A parallel single-spin Metropolis algorithm [J. Chem. Phys. 21, 1087 (1953)] has been implemented with a speedup of 27 on 50 processors of the KSR-1 parallel computer. A parallel Swendsen-Wang algorithm [Phys. Rev. Lett.
