A Communication Based Islanding Detection Method for Photovoltaic Distributed Generation Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Photoenergy, 2014
PV based distributed generation (DG) systems must have some electrical connection standards while they connected to an electrical grid. One of these electrical conditions and the most important one is unplanned islanding condition.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Grid impedance estimation for islanding detection and adaptive control of converters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The grid impedance is time varying due to the changing structure of the power system configuration and it can have a considerable influence on the control and stability of grid connected converters. This paper presents an online grid impedance estimation

The influence of the self-excited induction machine into the electrical grid under instability situation - Real case measurement [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The three phase induction machine is used in the mainly part of the industry and it requires reactive power from the grid to start and function. The reactive power consumption is economically fined so the industries install capacitors in parallel with ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Laboratory Evaluation of a Phasor-Based Islanding Detection Method

open access: yesEnergies, 2021
Constantly growing distributed energy generation based on renewable sources creates a number of new challenges for electrical power system operation. One of the challenges is islanding detection. Unintentional islanding, which can cause health and safety

E2A selectively regulates TGF‐β–induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ability to induce apoptosis by TGF‐β is frequently lost in advanced lung adenocarcinoma despite intact TGF‐β signaling. We identify E2A as a mutant KRAS–dependent mediator of resistance to TGF‐β–induced apoptosis. TGF‐β induces E2A via SMAD3 in mutant KRAS cells, and E2A silencing restores apoptosis and enhances radiation response in cell lines ...

A Novel Islanding Detection Scheme without Non Detection Zone

open access: yesThe Transactions of the Korean Institute of Power Electronics, 2015
Unintentional islanding results in safety hazards, reliability, and many other issues. Therefore, the islanding detection of a power conditioning system of a distributed generation, such as a grid-connected photovoltaic inverter, is a key function for standard compliance.

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...
