The Application of Zeta Potential for the Effective Retention of Titanium Dioxide in Chemically Modified Systems [PDF]
This study was done to determine how to obtain maximum effective filler retention in a fiber and titanium dioxide system. Retention of fillers in a fibrous system is greatly influenced through the use of high molecular weight polymers.

Oxidation increases myofibrillar protein net charge [PDF]
In order to study the effect of oxidation on the charges of myofibrillar proteins, extracted myofibrils were incubated with different concentrations of the oxidant NaClO (0, 1, 5, and 10 mM) at 5 ºC overnight.

A deep comprehension of biomolecular phenomena at interfaces is significant with their fundamental and practical importance. Our experimental and theoretical investigations reveal that specific amino acids (glutamic acid and aspartic acid) exhibit an orientational coupling with liquid crystals, which can recognize and optically report the interfacial ...

Emulsifying properties of hemp proteins: Effect of isolation technique [PDF]
peer-reviewedHemp protein was isolated from hemp seed meal using two different isolation procedures: alkali extraction/isoelectric precipitation (HPI) and micellization (HMI). The ability of these proteins to form and stabilize 10% (w/w) sunflower oil-in-
