Natural antibacterial silk produced by feeding silkworms with human hair derived carbon dots
Blue‐fluorescent and antibacterial carbon dots, prepared from Crinis Carbonisatus (a traditional Chinese medicine made by calcinating human hair), are fed to silkworms to produce multifunctional silk, which retains its inherent mechanical properties, exhibits blue fluorescence, possesses antibacterial activity, and promotes the wound healing of rats as

A fractionation‐free SAXS approach quantifies protein corona formation on silica nanoparticles under native conditions. By deconvoluting scattering from free and bound proteins, adsorbed mass is directly determined in simple and complex media. The method resolves adsorption regimes and thermodynamics, establishing non‐invasive, in situ characterization

Nonthermal plasma approaches for combating implant‐associated infections: A compendious review
Implant‐associated infections pose serious clinical challenges. Non‐thermal plasma (NTP) modifications overcome this bottleneck in distinct ways relative to traditional sterilization methods. Gas‐phase plasmas generate highly energetic species, UV radiation and reactive oxygen/nitrogen species (RONS), which alter the implant surface properties.

Influence of heme and pH on the oligomeric states of Brucella melitensis bacterioferritin
The oligomerization of B. melitensis bacterioferritin (BmBfr) was studied using X‐ray crystallography, size‐exclusion chromatography and thermal shift analysis. These techniques allowed the characterization of both apo and holo BmBfr, highlighting the impact of heme and pH on the oligomerization mechanism.Bacterioferritin from Brucella melitensis ...
