Modeling General Asymptotic Calabi–Yau Periods
Abstract In the quest to uncovering the fundamental structures that underlie some of the asymptotic Swampland conjectures the authors initiate the general study of asymptotic period vectors of Calabi–Yau manifolds. The strategy is to exploit the constraints imposed by completeness, symmetry, and positivity, which are formalized in asymptotic Hodge ...

A V‐Shaped In‐Pipe Robot to Travel Through Complex Winding Pathways in Three Dimensions
ABSTRACT This paper presents a V‐shaped gas pipeline inspection robot which achieves high roll rotation performance, out‐of‐plane double elbow travel performance, and inverted siphon adaptability at high speed without requiring complicated manual operation. The principle for traveling through the out‐of‐plane double elbow was theoretically demonstrated

A Soft‐Containing Gripper for High‐Speed Handling of Breadcrumb‐Coated Oysters
ABSTRACT Soft grippers have been developed for handling a diverse array of objects, particularly excelling in grasping deformable and soft food items due to their soft and flexible nature, which is essential for preventing damage. However, the development of soft grippers capable of operating at extremely high speeds, typically achieving a pick‐and ...

ABSTRACT This article presents the first ever fully autonomous UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) mission to perform gas measurements after a real blast in an underground mine. The demonstration mission was deployed around 40 min after the blast took place, and as such realistic gas levels were measured.

ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to develop collision avoidance control for a teleoperated dual robotic arm to minimize collisions in human‐robot collaboration. Generally, in the absence of work cell mapping, collision checking in a teleoperated mobile robot is performed based on motor current or torque. However, this method cannot predict collisions

A modular platform for controlled nanoconfinement over a large area is presented using an elastomeric diaphragm integrated with strain sensors and microfabricated posts (≈500 nm) to enhance biomolecular binding by alternating between confinement and bulk transport for rapid DNA immobilization and screening aptamers on their binding affinities to target
