Recognition and Analysis of Image Patterns Based on Latin Squares by Means of Computational Algebraic Geometry

open access: yesMathematics, 2021
With the particular interest of being implemented in cryptography, the recognition and analysis of image patterns based on Latin squares has recently arisen as an efficient new approach for classifying partial Latin squares into isomorphism classes. This

Faster subtree isomorphism [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Fifth Israeli Symposium on Theory of Computing and Systems, 1999
Let \(H\) and \(G\) be trees on \(k\) and \(n\) vertices, respectively. The subtree isomorphism problem is to determine whether \(H\) is isomorphic to a subtree of \(G\). In this paper, an \(O((k^{1.5}/\log k)n)\) algorithm is given. A randomized (Las Vegas) algorithm of time complexity \(O(k^{1.376}n)\) is also developed.

Measuring what matters: Evaluating the impact of curriculum decolonisation initiatives in UK business schools

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Curriculum decolonisation has become a prominent feature of equity agendas in UK higher education, yet there remains limited empirical and theoretical work on how such initiatives are evaluated, particularly within business schools. This paper presents one of the first multi‐institutional empirical studies examining how UK business schools ...

Green Innovation and Firm Efficiency: The Role of Institutional Quality in Italian High‐Tech Manufacturing Sectors

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to verify whether institutional quality affects the relationship between green innovation and firm efficiency within the high‐tech manufacturing sectors. To estimate jointly the parameters of a stochastic frontier and the coefficients of a model explaining technical inefficiency, we employed the one‐step estimation ...

Shoikhet's Conjecture and Duflo Isomorphism on (Co)Invariants

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2008
In this paper we prove a conjecture of B. Shoikhet. This conjecture states that the tangent isomorphism on homology, between the Poisson homology associated to a Poisson structure on R^d and the Hochschild homology of its quantized star-product algebra ...

Isomorphism: `molecular similarity to crystal structure similarity' in multicomponent forms of analgesic drugs tolfenamic and mefenamic acid

open access: yesIUCrJ, 2020
The non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs mefenamic acid (MFA) and tolfenamic acid (TFA) have a close resemblance in their molecular scaffold, whereby a methyl group in MFA is substituted by a chloro group in TFA.

Corruption Control and Corporate Hazardous Waste Emissions: Cross‐Country Evidence and the Moderating Role of Agenda 2030

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The aim of this study is to examine the impact of corruption control, as a public institutional mechanism, on hazardous waste emissions of private sector entities. We also examine the extent to which Agenda 2030 moderates the relationship. We analyse data from the top 500 global companies.
