Isomorphous Substitution In Potassium Titanyl Phosphate

SPIE Proceedings, 1989
Potassium titanyl phosphate (KTP) is a very important material for use in nonlinear optics. In particular, its nonlinear coefficients and refractive indices are well suited for efficient generation of the second harmonic of the 1.06μm line of the Nd:YAG laser.

Mechanochemically enhanced synthesis of isomorphously substituted kaolinites

Applied Clay Science, 2011
A mechanochemical method for the rapid, bulk synthesis of kaolinite has been developed. Metal hydroxides and silicic acid are mechanically ground and hydrothermally treated for as little as a day at 250 °C to produce X-ray pure crystalline materials.

Computer simulation study on isomorphously substituted silicalites

Microporous Materials, 1995
Abstract The influence of isomorphous substitution on the structure and vibrational spectra of the orthorhombic form of silicalite was studied by means of the molecular dynamics technique. Replacement of silicon by model T atoms with the parameters of germanium points to the T3 position as the most preferable one for T atom siting in the structure ...

Mechanisms of isomorphic substitution in quartz

Geochemistry International, 2006
Mechanisms of the incorporation of isomorphic impurities of Al, Ti, and Ge into quartz were studied by EPR techniques. For this purpose, laboratory experiments were carried out on quartz annealing, which allowed us to model the processes of impurity atom introduction into the quartz lattice.

Mössbauer Study of Isomorphous Substitution in Ilvaite

physica status solidi (b), 1971
AbstractThe isomorphous substitution of manganese for Fe in ilvaite has been studied. It has been found that in the absence of manganese or at low manganese content (up to 4.5%) the spectrum consists of two doublets, corresponding to bivalent and trivalent iron. When the degree of substitution increases the spectrum becomes complex.

Isomorphous substitution of Fe3− in zeolite LTL

Microporous Materials, 1997
Abstract Fe-modified L-type zeolites were synthesized hydrothermially, partially substituting iron atoms for the framework aluminum of L-type zeolite. Chemical analysis, XRD, SEM, IR, UV VIS DRS, EPR, XAS, TG DTA, and catalytic activity studies provided the evidence of Fe3 present in the zeolite framework.

Electronic structure of isomorphically substituted strontium apatite

Journal of Electron Spectroscopy and Related Phenomena, 2004
Abstract Theoretical and experimental investigations of the atomic and electronic structures of isomorphically substituted strontium apatite were carried out. The investigation was for the change in electronic structure of Sr5(PO4)3OH (Sr-HAP) at isomorphous substitution by F, Cl, and Sr by Na, La and also at transition Sr-HAP to amorphous state ...

Isomorphous Substitution for Silicon in Fluorphlogopite

Journal of the American Ceramic Society, 1963
Attempts to substitute for silicon in the fluorphlogopite structure resulted in the synthesis of a fluorgermanium mica and a boron phosphate micalike orthorhombic crystal. The batch material contained Al 2 O 3 , MgO, MgF 2

Surface chemistry features of spodumene with isomorphous substitution

Minerals Engineering, 2020
Abstract Spodumene is an important strategic mineral resource for production of lithium. Froth flotation technology is a major method for recovery of spodumene. Surface chemistry features of minerals have significant effects on flotation performance. Natural spodumene crystals have lattice defects, including isomorphous substitution of Fe, Mn, and Cr.
